The iconic Candy-striped Elbow cay lighthouse that stands 120 feet above the powdery white sands over the Abacos Islands, proved to be a stunning backdrop for Carla Nevill and Daniel Coote of Baldock, Hertfordshire’s romantic Brides ceremony.
Carla, a crime scene investigator and Daniel, a builder, are one of the 16 lucky couples that have won the 16 Islands Brides Invitation. Upon being told of their dream Brides arrangements, Carla said, “We are most looking forward to getting married in a beautiful location in the warm sunshine for an unforgettable Brides next to the sea.”

This small chain of islands and islets (known as cays) spans only 200 km but is big on natural beauty and tranquillity. Sailors – whether aboard elegant yachts or simple dinghies - are in their seventh heaven here, exploring the deserted coves and talcum-soft beaches of cays with evocative names like Green Turtle, Great Guana and Man-O-War.
The Abacos are known as one of the world’s top boating and sailing destinations due to its calm sea surrounded by charming islands, each worth a visit.
