Bahamas 16 Islands Brides Invitation, Brides No 8: Karén and Kane's "Lost in Your Embrace" Brides

Karén Minns and Kane Nelson from Leeds dreamed of saying “I do” on Bimini, the Gateway Island of the Bahamas. On the 16th of May this year, they were joined in matrimony under a romantically decorated bridal arch ornamented with hanging starfish on the sandy shores of Bimini. The white powdery sand aisle was lined with pebbles, shellfish and petals, not only leading Karén to her eagerly awaiting groom but to the turquoise sea, a perfect backdrop for this dreamy Brides.

Bimini – just 80 km east of Miami – is known as the Gateway to The Islands of The Bahamas and is famed as the big-game fishing capital of the world; Ernest Hemingway, Howard Hughes and Richard Nixon are just three big names who came here in search of the legendary big fish – like marlin, sailfish and wahoo – which inhabit Bimini’s waters and make the region such a popular spot for divers.

The island of Bimini occupies a special place in the mystic of the Bahamas. Just off its south coast lies the wreck of the SS Sapona, a ship built by Henry Ford during the First World War. And Bahamians believe the fabled Lost City of Atlantis also lies just off the shores of Bimini.

Karen and Kane and their two guests stayed at Bimini Bay Resort, Bimini.
Congratulations to you both, may you have many years of happiness in eachothers embrace! Tomorrow we continue our Bahamian Brides adventures when Helena Hewett and Jonathan Briley of London, will take the plunge..quite literally to celebrate their "Love in the Deep Blue Sea".
