Five {Brides} Minutes with The Designer Brides Show

It is that exciting time of the year again where brides, grooms and bridesmaids to be, tour the country attending bridal shows! This year, one in particular has caught our eye, why? Because it is Ireland’s first high end inspirational showcase. The Designer Brides Show has recently just launched their fabulous new website and from reading some comments on facebook it looks like they are set to exhibit some of the finest in the Brides Industry with the likes of the K club and The Courtyard for Brides hinting at their anticipation for October 2012! With all the hype surrounding the show, I caught up with the creative director Cheryl Reilly, who gave me an insight to what The Designer Brides Show is all about. 

Tell us what makes The Designer Brides Show Different from other Brides fairs?

Unlike other exhibitions in Ireland, The Designer Brides Show will showcase some of the finest Brides experts, which will be handpicked to showcase their business at the Royal Hospital Kilmainham. Every Brides category will be represented from bridal wear and accessories through to amazing venues, photographers, florists, event stylists and many more. This is a boutique event in comparison to a large scale bridal show, we wanted to make sure that we picked exhibitors that were unique to offer brides and grooms the opportunity to seek out something distinctive for their special day. We also want to provide them with a relaxed and enjoyable experience whereby they can browse, chat to the experts and take in the ambience of the stunning venue. 

What can else can we expect from the Designer Brides Show?

 The highlight of the event will be a stunning catwalk show presenting collections from top bridal designers and boutiques offering insight into trends for 2013 and beyond.  It is a very special catwalk show indeed as it will take place in the renown chapel of The Royal Hospital Kilmainham and will with no doubt invoke  inspiration for the style conscious bride and groom! Another feature of the show will be the Brides Masterclass Series offering brides and grooms the opportunity to discuss ideas and receive original and innovative advice from our Brides experts.

Tell us a bit about the venue

The Designer Brides Show will take place at the 17th century Royal Hospital Kilmainham, home to the Irish Museum of Modern Art and one of the country’s most prestigious venues. Each room has an inimitable charm, which will really set the scene for the show. It is also situated in Dublin city, close to Heuston Station and the M50, so it is in an ideal location which is very accessible from all routes.

When will the show take place?

The show opens from 11.00am – 5.00pm on Saturday 27th and Sunday 28th of October 2012.
