Brides Guest Dress Codes Explained

I absolutely love to get a Brides invite in the post, for me its the start of the magic! Of course I've probably know for weeks, months and possibly years that Jim & Mary are getting married, but once the invite lands on the mat, that's when it begins for me { unless of course I am the Brides Planner or indeed the Bridesmaid :) }.

For some I know, once that invite arrives they can start to sweat! You would think that attending a Brides is fun and fancy free for a Brides guest... not always the case; often it can be a costly event... { loose average figures say that the average guest can spend €1,000 to attend your Brides day when you take clothes, gifts, travel, accommodation and drinks into account }... of course this cost can fluctuate depending on what 'type' of Brides you are having, where it is, when it is and whether or not there is a dress code!

Here in Ireland 'dress codes' aren't terribly common, our standard 'Brides dress code' is Semiformal or Dressy Casual, as it is in most of the world. However, occasionally you will get that invite in the door that might say, Black Tie, White Tie or something else and that can send us into a tail spin... what the hell do you wear then?

Fear not... via Brides 101, here is a handy breakdown of what to wear for each dress code.
