Angelina’s ring hit the headlines after it was revealed that her fiancé Brad Pitt had been involved in the design process (and spent $500,000 for the privilege!) The ring, which was designed by Brad and Beverly Hills jeweller Robert Procop, featured an enormous emerald cut diamond in the centre and multiple stones around the band, and was said to have been created to “an exact custom size and shape to suit Angelina’s hand”.

The centrepiece of the ring was a stunning oval cut 18 carat sapphire, surrounded by diamonds, but it wasn’t just the expensive stones which made it special. The ring once belonged to William’s mother, Princess Diana, making it a particularly precious and personal choice.

The ring, which was designed by jeweller Lorraine Schwartz, is thought to be one of the most expensive engagement rings in the world.
