10 Ways to Relax and De-Stress Before for your Brides Day

It’s not uncommon to feel like a bundle of nerves during the last few days leading up to your Brides. Feeling anxious and stressed out doesn't always mean you have cold feet. After months of planning for your big day and taking care of the details, you can find yourself worrying that something’s been forgotten or left undone. Even though it’s important to make sure everything is ready, it’s also essential that you find time to wind down, relax and de-stress so you can look and feel your best when you walk down the aisle.

1. Review Your Checklist. Look over the list of tasks you've taken care of from the beginning to the end of your Brides preparations. Simply reviewing your list can help put your worries to rest as you see you've accomplished everything.

2. Call in an Objective Pair of Eyes. Ask a friend or family member to double-check the list, too.

3. Delegate Last-Minute Details. Delegate as many of the last-minute tasks as possible so you can focus on winding down before your big day.

4. Have Someone in the Brides Party Follow Up. Ask your spouse-to-be, maid-of-honor or best man to follow up on the limo, check on the cake, confirm the reception venue and any other things you want to make sure are in place for the Brides.

5. Plan a Day Alone. Schedule one full day alone the week before your Brides so you can spend it relaxing in whatever way suits you, whether that’s on the couch with a stack of movies or sitting on the patio with a book.

6. Hit the Spa. Plan a spa day with your Brides party or your partner to unwind with a massage or get pampered with other spa services. After months of planning, you deserve some special treatment.

7. Create a Schedule for Your Brides Day. You’ll feel a lot better about your Brides day if you create a schedule for yourself. Include your wakeup, sufficient time for breakfast and time needed to get ready.

8. Make Sure Someone’s Got Your Back. A best friend or family member who watches out for you can mean the difference between feeling stressed out and relaxed. Heed the warnings of caring people when they suggest that you rest or calm down.

9. Take Good Care of Yourself. Don’t skimp on healthy eating or exercise prior to your Brides day. Both will help you keep your energy level up. Likewise, exercise provides a healthy release from stress.

10. Get Enough Sleep. Avoid burning the candle at both ends prior to your Brides day. Aim for
approximately eight hours of sleep to feel well-rested and keep dark circles at bay.

Even though it can be tempting to run around at a frenetic pace the last few days before your Brides, you’ll enjoy the week and your big day a lot more if you relax. Trust that you, your family and friends have taken care of everything. Know that it’s hard to achieve perfection but that you’re still likely to have a beautiful Brides day. Keep your sense of humor alive straight through to the end of the Brides reception for those occasional moments when things become unintentionally comedic. Above all, relax and enjoy your Brides day as it will come and go more quickly than you want it to.
