When couples are considering their Brides music that obvious question of what song they will dance to as their first as a married couple arises. It is a special song that will be embedded in the memory of the bride and groom and your guests as well (hopefully for the right reasons!) for a very long time. My friend is getting married this summer and her and her fiancé have gone through about seven suggestions as what to choose and have not yet come to a conclusion - its not as easy as it may seem!
If you and your spouse to be already have 'a song' that is yours and you want to use it on your Brides day, you are all sorted out....kind of. What if nobody knows the song? That might be a little bit of a problem as your guests will also need to feel a connection to what they are listening to. Also bear in mind, anything really slow will lack tempo, feeling and fail to surge emotions and anything too fast will require a complex dance routine that could be a little difficult to learn. Don't forget the size of the dress and the high heels too!!!!
Your first song as a married couple should reflect on both of you as individuals, your inspirations and desires and the coming together of you both as one unit and the love that you have shared between you in the past and in the life that you have ahead of you.

Here are some others that I adore, there's a bit of variety here:

Come Away with Me - Norah Jones

Once you have chosen your song, inform your band and if it something that they can't play or you want the original song you can have it play from the ipod through the speakers. Dance lessons are always a good idea if budget and time allows. If you fancy doing something a little different this would be the way to go.
First Brides songs are often those that I try to hide in a corner for as they clutch at my heart strings as I'm a big romantic at heart. Since I was a flowergirl at my Aunties Brides when I was six years old and cried to 'Anything I do I do it for you' by Bryan Adams, I have cried at every single first dance at Bridess since, clearly the Brides industry is for me!
