This final feature on our RB goes Gatsby special coincides with the grand reveal of Jason's latest offering. And we wanted to give it its own highlight as well:

Jason writes: 

"Years ago, when I was starting out, I asked a lot of questions. Why can't wedding films be more moving, entertaining, arresting and involving? We pursued those questions - refining technique, defining approach and telling better stories... Much credit of course goes to the designers – EVERYWHERE WE SHOOT for putting this together. And putting up with me. The main box is a double gatefold. The inside left contains the disc format of the final video. The center slots contain additional disc copies.The inside right holds our premium USB key containing the data versions. All embedded within our mantra, our code of filmmaking. In one of the folds are representations of who I am and what I do – a curated gallery of material objects. They don’t define me as a person. Candidly Pretty's DIY Workshop at the Trade School Manila

The class is "bartered" because this class is the brilliant idea of Trade School Manila wherein knowledge can be passed on to students without necessarily paying for a fee--instead, you can barter with what the speaker/teacher wants to get! As an organic advocate/neophyte eco warrior, I truly appreciate that Koni Esteban of Candidly Pretty made wooden utensil options for weddings. There's A LOT of waste that goes on in each and every wedding. So injecting sustainable and eco-friendly ideas show that we actually care for Mother Earth in our own little ways.

Why are wooden utensils better? First of all, even if guests opt to leave it for the trash it can be segregated after the reception under the pile of recyclables. Second of all, it will lessen the number of dinnerware that has to be washed which consumes a lot of water and toxic dish washing liquid products. And third of all? Why, it's a simple but wonderful detail to have of course! :)

Love, love, LOVE Koni Esteban's fabric bouquet for Boracay Bride Cat! So chic, so tasteful, and so precious indeed! Am gonna have to contact Koni soon! I want some fabric bouquets for our Rebellious Home and for our upcoming party! :)

Koni shares: "Crafting these dainties was not a stroll in the park. It took me an entire week to design, manually die cut and sew the separate pieces together. All my exhaustion melted away when I saw Cat's smile =) Knowing that she appreciated what I created especially for her, made my excited heart skip a beat."

Candidly Pretty's Dessert Table & Party Favors

Freelance crafter Koni Esteban of Candidly Pretty and her friends were recently in-charge of visualizing and implementing the dessert table and party favors for an intimate party. Here's how their team made it all happen:

Koni: I was thrilled to be in charge of the dessert table! I decorated it with fabric-covered letters and hand-stitched mini buntings that were intricately made with LOVE =)

Koni: Leah entrusted me to work on the party favors. With the theme in mind, I came up with these pretty pastel-colored hankies.


Koni: My craft zizters and I collaborated on this scrumptious project. Geli baked red velvet bars with cream cheese frosting and Ella made handwritten tags. They had been so enthusiastic with working with me on this project! Together we came up with this. =) Isn’t it so delectable-looking! It really is a sweet treat! Merci beaucoup gurlz!!!
