I can tell you my nerves were shot last night for the ten eager {finalist} couples who attended the Win Our Brides Finale at the Dublin Carlton Airport Hotel.
This was the second finale for this amazing competition, where couples, their family, friends and anyone who feels {enough} love to vote for them, have been battling out in a text/web based voting competition to win the top spot and claim the €20,000 prize fund over the past six weeks!
What I love about this prize is that its a monetary amount the winning couple have at there disposal, not a combination of Brides suppliers to the value of €20,000. With the Win Our Brides prize couples get to choose exactly what they want from all the amazing full time professional Brides suppliers in Ireland... and most importantly, send Win Our Brides the bill! The competition is open to Irish couples getting married in Ireland... and there is even provision {if you happen to be living aboard and coming home to get married} of additional money to cover the cost of flights! Brides & Grooms were treated to a mini Brides fair on arrival at the Dublin Carlton Airport Hotel and then the amazing guys that are the Men in Black Brides band kicked of the night with some rockin music {note to all couples out there considering a band... these guys are A.M.A.Z.I.N.G ! }
The lovely host, Aidan Cooney of Ireland AM &The More Music Less Talk with Aidan Cooney , chatted with all the finalists and we got a real sense as to how much the {potential} €20,000 would mean to their Brides plans!
I myself got to chat with the absolutely gorgeous former Miss World and bride to be herself, Rosanna Davison, all about her own Brides plans and ideas. Rosanna was of course on hand to open the winning envelopes and hand over the coveted prize!
And.... drum roll please... the winning couple were{are}....
Sharena & John, who plan to marry in 2015, are {understandably} unbelievably excited about winning such a terrific prize!!
